Meet Our Principal

Beatriz Brito was born in Caracas, Venezuela and since a very young age she knew
she was destined to be a teacher. As a child, she would always be playing school with
her baby dolls and teaching them the lesson of the day. It was of no surprise that she
completed her early years of education in the field while in Venezuela. Her career path
then led to the United States where she, together with her family, opened the doors of
Brito Miami Private School. Ultimately, she would fulfill her desire of being an educator
and became the third generation in her family to follow this path. She graduated from
Florida International University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and is currently
working on her Master's degree in Educational Leadership. Upon the inception of Brito
Miami Private School in 1985, Beatriz served as assistant principal and later in 2005
was appointed the title of Principal following the footsteps of her beloved father, Dr.
Antonio Brito.

One of our principals' greatest qualities is her enthusiastic and outgoing personality. At
the school's sporting events, she is the number one fan cheering on to never giving up.
Ms. Brito without a doubt will always brighten up your day and make you feel at home
even when instilling responsibility and respect. For Ms. Brito, it is incumbent upon
educational leaders to create a shared sense of commitment and responsibility for our
youth. It is critical to have the participation of not only the teachers, students, and
administration, but also the family and community.

Ms. Brito is a visionary leader dedicated to serving the community by shaping the young
minds of tomorrow. In her role as Principal, she provides leadership to her students by
building character and motivating them to excel in and out of the classroom. She
believes that achievement is paramount to the success of every individual. Her staff is
led by the belief of integrating technological curriculum innovations. Through this
mentorship, she coaches and guides teachers' professional development and
acknowledges their achievements with praise. She views parents and the wider school
community as partners in the education of students. For her, education is a continuous
and fascinating journey, not a destination and she pledges to provide leadership that will
enable all to realize the benefits of the journey for years to come.
